If you are looking to make business contacts, you might want to volunteer at manning a table and raising funds for your favourite charity

Driver Education

Get a jump start on your driving skills and knowledge with some of these tips.

1) The Ontario Driver's Handbook is available online. Save money and study it online. You can also pick up a copy at your local Canadian Tire or bookstore. Driver's Handbooks are also available through Service Ontario.

2) Shopping around for a ministry approved driver's education course may save you save you time and money. A neighbourhood driving school may have an approved course for a fraction of the cost of a large franchise. Here are some things to consider when choosing a driving school.

3) Try a driving simulation program for your computer.

Save on Automobile Insurance

1) Get registered as an Occasional Driver
As soon as you have your G1 have a qualified friend or relative register you on their insurance as an occasional driver. It costs nothing, but adds up to major savings later when you get your licence.

2) Take a Ministry approved Driver Education Course. In Ontario, taking a certified driver's education course allows a new driver to attempt their
licence after 8 months instead of waiting 12 months. In addition, the Insurance Bureau of
Canada gives students who complete an approved course a rating of 3, which is the same as
having driven 3 years without a collision. This ads up to major savings for guys, but changes
little for girls.

3) Get lots of Practise The more practise you have, the more confident you'll be when it come s to taking your test.
You'll be less likely to fail and save money by not having to pay for the test multiple times.

Supplement your in-car experience with visualization exercises. Sit in a chair and go through the motions of the mandatory manoeuvres (parking, 3-pt turn, emergency roadside stop)

Good luck and happy motoring!
