Silani Provolone - great No Frills Bargain

Silani Cheese blocks are an amazing deal at No Frills this week,so when we arrived,there was only one block of Mozzerella a few mild Cheddar,but a slew of Provolone. We had never tried Provolone,but at $3.88 for 500g,it seemed like a good time to try something new.

Quite by accident we discovered a unique characteristic of Silani Provolone - it peels just like the expensive individually packaged stringable cheese!

Try Something New! Being fifth generation Canadians, we love trying International foods. Here is our newest discovery- KurKure!These treats imported from India are part of the Pepsico holdings. We scooped up a deal on these at Patels Grocery on Markham Road South in Scarborough- 3 bags for $3. Kurkure available in three flavours: Naughty Tomatoes, Green Chutney,and Chilli The main ingredient is rice meal. We found Naughty Tomatoes to be the mildest of the three with Green Chutney the spiciest.

An interesting idea on the back of each package, are three recipes using the rice treats as an ingredient. If you would like to make any of the recipes,however,you'll want to check the. ingredient list before leaving Patel's to be sure you have everything you need.
